Transform(ing) Tech: Inclusion in the Workplace
Created in partnership with the Transgender Law Center, this module provides practical tools for creating trans-inclusive workplaces in the technical sector.
About This Training
Creating a truly inclusive tech culture requires more than policies — it takes awareness, courage, and practical tools for change. This self-paced course helps leaders, managers, and team members understand the experiences of transgender, nonbinary, and gender-nonconforming people in the technology sector and equips them to build workplaces where everyone can thrive.
Led by educator and consultant Trystan Reese, this training brings together neuroscience, lived experience, and evidence-based strategies to create meaningful inclusion in tech environments. Developed in partnership with the Transgender Law Center, with contributions from leading experts Dr. Jamison Green, Esq. Sasha Buchert, and Esq. Ilona Turner, the course blends research and real-world stories from employees and managers across the industry.
Through short videos, personal narratives, and reflection prompts, participants will explore the foundations of gender identity, learn practical communication strategies, and address common workplace challenges — from onboarding and team culture to transitioning on the job. You’ll gain concrete tools to support current and prospective trans employees, reduce bias in hiring and retention, and strengthen your organization’s overall equity practices.
By the end, you’ll leave with more than knowledge — you’ll have the insight, empathy, and confidence to create tech spaces where every person’s contribution is valued.
Whether you’re an HR professional, team lead, or aspiring ally, Transform(ing) Tech offers a clear, actionable path toward inclusion that’s grounded in respect, dignity, and accountability.
