Lactation consultants, health workers, OB/GYN’s, Prenatal and Postpartum bodyworkers (including massage therapists and acupuncturists), and childbirth educators.
More and more transgender, non-binary, and gender non-conforming community members are exploring parenthood. But the birth world is simply not designed to include them! This module, created by Trystan Reese of Trans Fertility Co., will ensure that your work, from top to bottom, is fully trans-inclusive.

If you’ve ever asked...

  • How do gender-affirming hormones impact fertility?

  • How do I advocate for my trans clients throughout their pregnancies?

  • What are ways that bias is unintentionally creeping into my work?

  • How do I tell the trans community that I’m excited to work with them?

  • How can I make an impact on the birth world so it is more trans-inclusive?

  • Why do I get defensive when I make a mistake, and how can I be more accountable to my trans clients?

  • How does testosterone impact lactation?

  • Will my clients experience increased dysphoria throughout their pregnancy, and how can I support them through it?

  • How do I ask for pronouns respectfully and rebuild trust after making a mistake?

Real reviews from learners

The All Pregnant People training is SUPER INFORMATIVE

“I was starting at a near-zero place when it came to understanding the birth process for trans people. I'm sure I still don't know everything, but a lot of myths have been replaced with facts and a lot of unknowns are now known to me. It has been an absolute pleasure to learn from Trystan. I have found myself using this training often in my work around improving the birthing experience for families in my rural area.

The videos, interviews, and knowledge checks were well thought out and enriching. It has also been helpful to stay up to date on Collaborate Consulting's blog to keep learning more things.

I would recommend this training to anyone. Understanding more about each other is always worth doing.”

 Frequently Asked Questions

Can _____ profession learn something from this training?

The answer to this question is ALWAYS yes. If you interact with, support, or serve people during pregnancy, this session is for you.

Why should we listen to you?

In addition to being a trans gestational parent myself, I am a professional facilitator who has a deep wealth of knowledge about how to convey information in a way that inspires immediate change, in addition to lasting benefits. I have traveled the world supporting trans gestational parents, and have trained thousands of medical providers on the principles of inclusive care. I’ve partnered with doula organizations such as Cornerstone Birth and Doula Trainings International, with fertility giants that include IVI-RMA and CCRM, with medical pioneers from OHSU and Boston IVF. You get *so much more* than one person’s story with this module-- you get the data, science, and tools to serve my community with excellence… in addition to hearing my story and the stories of four other trans birthing parents.

Can I get credits for taking this course?

Yes! See Continuing Education section above on this page.

What people are saying

So valuable and much-needed Education!

“This course is everything I wanted and needed it to be. All the information was very accessible and I hope everyone supporting the birthing queer community will take this module! It's opened my eyes to the first hand experiences that transgender people have had during their fertility and birth journey. I really appreciated the emotional and personal take on education, but also how you intertwined facts and science that we have (yay!) and what's very lacking in terms of understanding the prenatal, birth and postpartum period for transgender folks.

Thank you to Trystan, Kori, Marnie, Bran and Jay for your strength, willingness to share and vulnerability that you all shared. I am very grateful and appreciate you all so much!”

Comprehensive & interesting training on TGE fertility

“Trystan's training on transgender & gender-expansive fertility was very comprehensive and evidence-based, while also utilizing community experiences to enrich healthcare workers' understanding of the variety of TGE pregnancy and birth. Highly recommended! All healthcare workers who see pregnant people should go through Trystan's training.”
