Opening Rainbow Doors: An Interactive Look at LGBTQ+ Patient Communities

An advanced workshop masquerading as a 101 session, we will cover common phrases and terms used by the LGBTQ+ community, delve into medical barriers faced by the LGBTQ+ community, and will explain emerging concepts (pansexuality, gender fluidity, gender-neutral pronouns, and intersex experiences). The session closes with hands-on examples of LGBTQ+-inclusive actions providers and support staff can integrate right away.
