About Coaching with Collaborate Consulting

  • When I work with you, you’ll get my full attention and focus. It’s rare to have someone truly listen to everything you’re saying (and not saying), from your words to your embodied experience. I am fully present to your challenges, successes, hopes, and fears.

One of my group coaching clients says this: “Trystan delivered a thoughtful and organized process that moved us from feeling both wounded and full of shame into a space of reflection and healing so that we were then able to receive the community’s feedback and fully it integrate into our lives and our organization.”

  • This is not therapy. I hope you have an actual therapist for that. This is full-on planning mode. Where do you want to be, where are you now, and what is getting in the way. I’ll give you concrete tools to get from here to there while removing barriers internal and external as we go.

One of my coaching clients says this: “Our coaching sessions gave me the skills and the confidence to lead my team through a difficult season while working toward changing our policies, procedures and expectations in order to build an inclusive, anti-oppressive work culture.”

  • I can’t help it— I want you to thrive. No, that’s not right… I want you to be WILDLY successful. To make all the change in the world while living a life that empowers you to keep making change for a very long time.

One of my coaching clients says this: “Trystan is kind, but not at all acquiescent--he firmly holds the space for growth, but without judgment.”

This results in sustainable transformation that empowers organizations to implement long-term DEI strategies that lead to lasting organizational change and success. Organizations who have used the IDI also report better decision-making, as they have developed a culturally competent leadership team capable of making informed, inclusive decisions.

Transform your organization into a leader in diversity, equity, and inclusion with the Intercultural Development Inventory. Contact us today to learn more about how the IDI can drive your DEI initiatives and create a more inclusive, innovative, and successful organization.

When is coaching helpful?

1. When you’re stuck

In those moments of crossroads, you might find yourself weighing the pros and cons of an important decision for too long. Coaching can be perfect for getting unstuck, as you consider your options with a third party who has specific expertise in strategic thinking.

2. When you need help

One of our areas of expertise is in coaching relating to Performance Improvement Plans. If you’ve been put on a PIP (or fear you might be soon), whether it’s because you missed the mark in communicating across lines of difference or you’re grappling with a neurodivergent identity, we can help.

3. When you need a breakthrough

Whether you’re trapped in a conflict cycle at work or you can’t seem to get through to a colleague, coaching can help you identify what’s not working and develop skills that will. Collaborate coaches are trained in non-violent communication, Brene Brown’s Rumble Framework, and the Intercultural Conflict Style Inventory, so we have lots of tools that can help.

4. When you’re on the precipice

Maybe you’ve just gotten a promotion, but you’re grappling with imposter syndrome. Or perhaps you’re coming back from parental leave and are feeling anxious about your shifting values at work. Regardless of the reason, having a thought partner, sounding board, and cheerleader is invaluable in getting off the ledge and onto solid ground.
