Second Generation: A trans dad and his non-binary tween, in conversation

Daniel Radcliffe of Harry Potter fame has urged the public to listen to the transgender youth who are caught in the crosshairs of this year’s most vicious political fights.

Are you listening?

Join renowned trans educator Trystan Reese for this tender, informative conversation that includes the powerful voice of his non-binary middle school-age child, Sullivan. You’ll learn the basics of transgender identities, including the Four Pillars of Identity (a simple yet effective tool explaining what it means to be transgender or non-binary). Trystan will provide vital context for the event, outlining the current attacks facing the trans community— on trans youth, particularly— before facilitating a collaborative storytelling and Q&A conversation with Sullivan.

Learners will gain valuable insights into the personal and political experiences of the transgender community, including transgender youth and families. You will have an opportunity to share your own reflections in the session, deepening your learning along the way. Organizations have found this type of non-traditional learning experience to open new roads to understanding for employees, spurring important conversation and driving transformational change.

Invite Trystan and Sully to be a part of the change you seek this Pride month… and beyond!
